(Kitco News) - Lower prices for platinum group metals reduced earnings for Stillwater Mining (NYSE: SWU; TSX: SWC.U), which saw net income fall to 11 cents per diluted share, or $13 million, in the third quarter, down from the third quarter of 2011?s net income of 37 cents per diluted share, or $40.7 million, the company said Tuesday in an earnings statement.
